Julia Korena is back in the studio to continue work on
songs for her debut solo CD.
In
June, California children's music artists ZunZun
will be in to record and mix their third CD, co-produced with John.
Two
new songs for the Scott
Fisher Project. Splitting their time between the Northwest
and Southern California, this band plays very tight, concise power pop.
Their debut effort charted in college radio last spring.
February
and March of '04 were very busy, with Cool Blue Studio continuing
to attract some of Portland's finest musical acts.

drums, Mike Hankins on trumpet and Amy Roesler on upright bass, cello

Antares

Continuing as a test site for Antares Audio Technologies, John
was happy to be able to help in the development of their latest (and perhaps
most fun!) plug in, in addition to designing several of the presets included
in the release version.
John
is also working with another major audio manufacturer, testing a new mastering
plug in that promises outstanding sound quality and some unique features,
more info to come after the official release.
Open
House Party
October
26 we had an Open House Party to celebrate the official opening of the
new Cool Blue Studio.
Live
music was provided by The
Scott Fisher Project and Julia Korena. In the audience were Portland
Songwriters Association president J. C. Tubbs, Lisa Lepine (the promotion
queen) and many local musicians and songwriters. Beverages were graciously
provided by the Portland Brewing Company (MacTarnahan's). A good time
was had by all.

John's 1992 solo cassette only release has finally been remastered and
is available on CD!
Now
these songs, including Man Behind The Curtain, You're Not

Dan
Sisco recorded an hour or so of his brilliant, often hilarious
"stand-up poetry" in the new studio for his recent CD release.

also features "Miracle Mile", original music by John Reynolds.

The
long awaited The Ukulele Dick Story CD has been released!
This
ambitous project spans a lifetime of musical trends.
It was recorded primarily at S2's Place in Santa Cruz, and
features many of central California's finest musicians and
a beautifully designed 24 page booklet.
John is honored to have contributed guitar, bass, keyboards, and vocals,
drum programming, sound design, mixing and mastering. Dick's previous
CD (featuring John on guitar and banjo), wonderfully produced by Stewart
Smith at his excellent Santa Cruz studio, has been praised by Beatle George
Harrison, novelist Kurt Vonnegut, among others. Featured artist at Kokomo

ZunZun,
whose first release (Flabbergasted) won an award for Best Classic Multilingual
Album from the Children's
Music Web, has won the Best Recording For Older Children (2002) from
the same organization, for their new CD Sea, Land and Sky.
John co-produced and performed bass and guitar. The CD features Barry
Philips on cello and Annie Steinhardt on violin. Mastered by George Horn
at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley.

Recording,
mixing, arranging and playing bass on two new CDs: Fly On
and Fallen Kisses, for singer/guitarist Rory
Koshlaychuk. These beautiful songs are supported by a bunch
of great musicians, and a tasty laid back feel. Recorded mostly at Alan
Goldwater's Magic
Sound in Santa Cruz.

Reynolds are now available at hyped2death.com.
They include Underground Passion by The
Bolivians (Philadelphia, PA 1979) and Wishful Thinking by
The
Secrets (Santa Cruz, CA 1980). Wishful Thinking was the first
release to feature a producer credit for John.
Mastering a new CD for Jolly Mukherjee, a popular artist
in India with over 20 cd's released, Jolly has worked with Bjork, Peter
Gabriel and many others.

complete with class interaction, to digital video for future internet
access.
